July 12, 2021 - Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become an essential aspect of companies' operations, enabling them to positively impact society. By giving back to the community, brands can build trust with consumers.

Odibets, a prominent betting firm in Kenya, has been at the forefront of CSR initiatives through its OdiMtaani program. This initiative has been instrumental in supporting various causes, including sports, music, talent, and youth development in the country.

One of the notable beneficiaries of Odibets' OdiMtaani initiative is Charles Odongo, also known as 'Ugali Man.' Odongo's exceptional cooking skills, particularly with ugali, a staple African dish, have made him an overnight sensation. Through the OdiMtaani initiative, Odibets reached out to Odongo and offered him an ambassadorial role, a brand-new van, and a fully equipped gym, significantly changing his life.

Odibets also extended support to Harambee Stars goalkeeper Patrick Matasi and his family after they were involved in a road accident. The firm, through its OdiMtaani initiative, partnered with Michael Olunga's Foundation to clear Matasi's medical bill, which included the costs of his family members' treatment.

Furthermore, Odibets supported Ezekiel Otuoma, a former AFC Leopards striker diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. The firm funded Otuoma's full treatment in Germany, provided air tickets for him and his wife, and offered additional financial support for his wife's business.

Additionally, Odibets launched a kitting program under the OdiMtaani initiative, which saw over 10,000 teams participating in county leagues receive football jerseys. The program aimed to kit all teams participating in the various county leagues, and its impact has been felt across the country.

Odibets' commitment to CSR has been recognized, and the firm was named the official motivational partners of the national football team, Harambee Stars, ahead of their crucial 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier matches.
