On June 22, 2021, former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko took to social media to express his outrage over Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka's alleged neglect of an expectant lover.

According to Sonko, Lusaka had been having a relationship with the woman and had abandoned her to protect his reputation.

"How can a whole Speaker dry fry and abandon a woman who is expecting a child? Shame on you Ken Lusaka!" Sonko wrote on his social media platforms.

The jobless woman in question has reportedly been forced to take the Speaker to court to guarantee support for her unborn child.

However, Sonko's judgmental remarks did not go down well with Kenyans online, with many ridiculing him for surpassing blogger Edgar Obare's "tea-spilling skills".

Some of the comments included: "Governor (former) umeshinda Edgar Obare siku izi!" and "Na wewe mwenye unashame wengine wewe ni malaika huoni shortcomings zako huoni za wengine ndo unacheki."

Additionally, Sonko shared an alleged nude video of former Unctad Secretary-General Mukhisa Kituyi, which he later deleted after receiving backlash from fellow Kenyans on Twitter.
