Family and Friends Mourn Allan Ngugi's Tragic Death on Nairobi's Southern Bypass

On May 5, 2021, a tragic road accident occurred on the Southern Bypass in Nairobi, claiming the life of Allan Ngugi, a 38-year-old driver.

Ngugi's car rammed into the rear of a lorry, causing severe damage to the driver's compartment of his BMW X5. The vehicle was later towed to the Langata police station.

Ngugi died instantly, and his body was moved to the City Mortuary. He was a programme manager at Trade Mark East Africa.

Photos of the accident scene went viral on social media, with many motorists expressing their frustrations about driving on the Southern Bypass, which is notorious for having many trucks.

On May 9, 2021, Ngugi's family and friends organized a memorial at the accident site, laying flowers and offering prayers.

The memorial service was attended by Ngugi's family, friends, and colleagues from Trade Mark East Africa.

Ngugi's brother, Brian, who was visibly emotional, thanked everyone who came to support his family.
