On May 10, 2021, the release of the 2020 KCSE results sparked celebrations across the country as top students, their relatives, and schools broke into songs and dances.
Among the top performers was Cheruiyot Bett Dennis from Kimargis Secondary School, who had previously scored 190 marks in KCPE.
Despite the initial low score, Dennis went on to achieve a grade B- in KCSE, earning him a spot among the top 10 most improved students in the country.
Education CS George Magoha praised Dennis and other students from average secondary schools who had achieved quality grades, highlighting their remarkable improvement.

- Ruweitha Abdikadir Hassan from Hon Khalif Girls (KCPE: 193, KCSE: B-)
- Siololo Parmaari Joseph from Olderkesi Secondary School (KCPE: 186, KCSE: B-)
