On October 2020, HMD Global released a roadmap outlining the Android 11 update schedule for its Nokia smartphones. The initial roadmap detailed when various devices would receive the Android 11 upgrade.
Fast forward to today, and the company has made significant progress in rolling out the Android 11 update to its devices. As of now, about half of the devices listed in the original roadmap have successfully made the jump from Android 10 to Android 11.
However, the fate of the remaining devices was uncertain, with the promised update timeline for the second quarter of 2021 rapidly approaching its deadline. But, in a recent update, HMD Global has provided clarity on when users of certain devices, such as the Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2, can expect to receive the Android 11 update.
According to the revised roadmap, devices like the Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 will now receive the Android 11 update in the next quarter (Q3 2021). On the other hand, devices in the Nokia 1 series (1 Plus, 1.3, and 1.4) and Nokia 5 series (5.3 and 5.4) are expected to receive the update this quarter.
