Kenya's COVID-19 Cases Rise to 5533

On June 23, 2020, the Ministry of Health confirmed 149 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the country's total to 5533.

Unfortunately, five people have lost their lives to the virus, increasing the total number of fatalities to 138.

According to Chief Administrative Secretary in the Health Ministry Rashid Aman, the new cases were identified from 3090 samples taken for testing.

Among the positive cases, one is a foreigner, while the rest are Kenyans.

Of the positive cases, 94 are males, and 55 are females.

Nairobi County continues to lead with 73 cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, followed by Mombasa County with 20 cases.
