On June 29, 2020, The Nairobi Hospital reopened its outpatient centre at the Southfield Mall in Embakasi, a move aimed at boosting access to healthcare services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the hospital's management, the reopening of the centre is part of efforts to combat the spread of the virus, which has accelerated in recent times.

The hospital has established and embedded COVID-19 management protocols in its main hospital and outpatient centres, ensuring that patients receive quality care while minimizing the risk of transmission.

The reopened centre will offer a range of services, including accident and emergency services, outpatient doctors' consultations, medical examinations, pharmacy services, laboratory services, and more.

Dr. Allan Pamba, The Nairobi Hospital's CEO, emphasized the importance of disclosing any history of fever or contact with a person suspected of having COVID-19 to minimize the risk of spreading the virus.

He warned that failure to disclose pertinent details puts health workers at risk and delays the implementation of COVID-19 protocols, which can compromise the quality of healthcare and lead to unnecessary deaths.
