Published on June 24, 2020, Kenyan artiste Nameless has found himself at the center of a heated debate over his strong dislike for avocados.

While many consider avocados to be a staple in their diets, Nameless is among the millions of people around the world who do not eat them. His youngest daughter, Nyakio, also shares his aversion to the fruit.

When Tallia Oyando, a Kenyan actress, shared a meal accompanied by an avocado and tagged Nameless, inviting him for lunch, he responded with a scathing message.

'Oh my God… Why would someone I call a friend send me this… What is wrong with you people!!! Btw, Thank God Kio (Nyakio) is in the #HateAvacadoTribe. We are growing in numbers. And I am working on responding as opposed to reacting to such ridiculous photos. I will soon be immune to this.'

This is not the first time Nameless has expressed his dislike for avocados. In a past interview with Classic 105, he stated, 'I don't like avocados, I did not even know avocado is such a big deal. I used to see my wife enjoying it so much but I could not understand what the fuss was all about. Till I went to social media and found every one saying avocado is bae. I used to think she is weird till I realized that it’s more like a movement. After seeing that everybody likes it I decided to give it a try but I did not find its taste appealing.'

Kenyan social media users have taken to the comments to share their reactions to Nameless's statement. Some have expressed their support for the artiste, while others have called him out for his strong dislike for the fruit.
