Sources indicate that the alleged practices extend beyond financial coercion, with the supervisor reportedly using their position to intimidate employees into compliance and manipulate reporting channels, ensuring that complaints about salary delays or administrative issues are met with threats, criticism, or isolation, leaving staff financially vulnerable and psychologically stressed, particularly during periods when salary payments are delayed for weeks or even months.
Insiders further claim that the behavior has had a marked effect on staff morale and retention, with multiple employees allegedly dismissed or pressured to leave under circumstances they describe as unfair, prompting concerns over the consistent misuse of supervisory authority and calls for intervention to protect workers from continued exploitation, restore trust, and address what is described as entrenched patterns of intimidation and coercion within the Kisumu depot.

Mary Kimani is the kind of person who, even if the company delays salaries for two months, you can’t even raise the issue in the group. If you do, she calls you and starts threatening that you could lose your job anytime. People suffer in silence, afraid to speak up because they know if they do, they’ll be fired, just like I was for speaking the truth.
