Zuku's Outsourced Staff Are Suffering
Newsroom Updated 1 min read
Hi Nyakundi, Am reacting on this issue raised about Airtel company outsourcing labour and misusing workers. I personally work with Zuku fibre as an agent, le president, I tell you we work under very hard conditions.
First, we haven't had a clearly spelt-out salary. The agency tasked with managing us known as Take 2, under one Steve Ogesa is a myriad of abuse; our contract is so rossy and inconsequential.
We work from even 7 am to 7pm searching for clients, yet we are not paid on time and they are very arrogant.
We can't report to Zuku because we don't have any contract with them. What we know is our retainer salary is Kshs. 20k plus commissions but TAKE 2 has come up with a structure that ensures that we are paid according to performance. Sometimes an agent can even take home Kshs. 8k after working for a whole month.
This issue of having agency brokers or outsourcing jobs is really killing youths' dreams in Kenya.
We hope after you highlight this issue our government will take a look at it.
