Youths Rise Up And Take The Census Job
Newsroom Updated 2 min read
I have read with much disdain how the Kenyan youths complaining how much the elders, people who have jobs especially civil servants are taking the census jobs.
Question is, haven't the youths read the saying that goes, 'power is taken, not given'?
What are they doing?
Youths have a great place to mobilize, that is social media especially Facebook and protest for months on end to call on the government to review the list of employees for the census jobs and other jobs.
They have the power to demand the government notices them as a Constituency.
Play to fake politicians like Ruto to help you secure the jobs and not accept to listen to anymore empty promises of jobs.
Sometimes you look at Kenyans and wonder what became of them.
When the bravest hit the streets to protest and injustice, the question you hear are these:
Is it a Luo? If it is then the comment you get is, 'Luos are rowdy people who like throwing stones. If it is a Kikuyu, they'll say that he's been paid by outsiders.
See, the problem is this; the youths with such comments serve to entrench the divide and rule by political class
Another things is that no revolution runs without funding. But the best and sustainable one is that which comes from the desire to change, deep in the heart of the masses.
I urge the youths to be good students of good books that teaches about agitating for change and not only ogle about Vera Sidika fake boobs and ass, or discuss fake boss lady Akothee's mad woman theatrics.
Discuss true change because if you don't then you end nowhere.
Youth rise up and take the census job.
