Twitter Suspends Popular User Wanjiku Revolt Again

Masters of the universe, Twitter, have suspended popular user Wanjiku Revolt @WanjikuRevolt again, three months after reinstating him.

In June, Twitter lifted his suspension, two months after suspending him after a malicious DMCA Report. We had exclusively revealed how the social media company has been purging users based on malicious DMCA reports.

In May this year, Edwin Kiama, who runs the accounts also found his active use of Facebook and Twitter accounts limited following the suspension of Twitter and removal of content by Facebook almost at the same period.

We have also been notified and confirmed that several advocacy accounts have been suspended by Twitter raising eyebrows as to whether Twitter is working with the government to kill activism. There are active reports that the social media giant now shares data with government agencies in order to get adverts from government. The account Wanjiku Revolt has been suspended over a DMCA report filed by a faceless individual claiming that their content was used in a manner that was not intended. There have been many complaints from social media users alleging censorship and dictatorial policies by the platform that has witnessed a decline in the user-base.

Kenya has less than 500,000 active monthly users on Twitter as compared to Facebook that has over 7 Million active monthly users.
