The current escalating tensions between Iran and United States (US) is something that has been there for quite some time.
One is a super power in search of total world submission and acceptance of their culture and another a proud Islamic country with great history of defeating the US and western agendas.
Iran has done what has not been done by many countries, they've downed supposedly the most advanced aircraft (RQ-4 drone) by the greatest super power of our time.
This is not the first time Iran achieve such a fete.
In December 2011, Iran state TV displayed the cream-colored American bat-wing RQ-170 "Sentinel" drone – its undercarriage hidden by banners of a US flag, with stars replaced by skulls and marked with anti-US slogans – Iranian officials said the spy craft was proof of enduring US hostility toward Iran.
After carrying out such an unbelievable fete, Iran went cocky, daring the super power.
"Iran will target all US military bases around the world," in case of further violations, warned conservative lawmaker Mohammad Kossari today. Iran's response would be "terrifying."
The US drone spy missions were to collect data on Iran's nuclear programme which the western powers had decided that Iran was enriching Uranium capable of developing nuclear weapons.
Before the capture of the drone, Iran had complained to the UN Security Council for the "blatant and provocative" violation of its airspace, and demanded "condemnation of such aggressive acts."
Security experts and analysts around the world opined that the US had lost a great deal by having its drone captured by an 'enemy' power. How Iran got the 'beast' Nicknamed the "Beast of Kandahar" after it was first spotted in 2009 on an airport runway in Kandahar, Afghanistan, the drone (costing $ 6 Million) was used to monitor Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan, undetected, before the raid to kill the Al Qaeda leader.
The Iranian video shows Hajizadeh and another Guard officer examining the craft with its radar-evading curves and wingspan which resembles the larger B-2 stealth bomber. It was placed on a platform with banners hiding the undercarriage and landing gear. The banners – fixed to either wing with clear packing tape – read: "The US can't mess with us," and "We'll crush America underfoot."
It was not clear how Iran acquired the drone intact. Some US experts dismiss the possibility that Iran could hack and then takeover the drone's controls, as Iran claims. And yet similar disruptions have proven possible in other battlefields, notably with the Iran-backed Hezbollah militia in Lebanon and drones from Israel.
"Those jamming capabilities exist, and a lot of them are not as new as we would like to imagine," says former US Navy electronics warfare officer Densmore.
"Anything that has a sensor, that takes communications links – as does the RQ-170, which has two, one for the satellite, and the other is line-of-sight with the ground control station – all it takes is disrupting that," says Densmore.
Often flying at 50,000-foot altitude, the RQ-170 would have had a hard landing, some say. And yet the Iranian video shows little visible damage, except that wings appear to have been reattached, and there was a small dent on the front edge of the left wing.
A senior US military source "with intimate knowledge of the Sentinel drone" was paraphrased by Fox News days ago as saying that the lost craft was "presumed to be intact since it is programmed to fly level and find a place to land, rather than crashing."
"This is a big prize in terms of technology," the source told Fox Rise of Iran Iran established an arms development program during the Iran–Iraq War to counter the weapons embargo imposed on it by the US and its Western allies. Since 1992, Iran has manufactured its own tanks, armored personnel carriers, missiles, radars, boats, submarines, unmanned aerial vehicles, and fighter planes.
After capturing the US Spy Drone in 2011, 3 years later in 2014, Iranian Revolutions Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that they have reverse - engineered the RQ-170 drone and developed their own. The last Shah who was known as Reza Shah was deposed in 1941 by an invasion of British and allied troops.
Britain and allied powers install a puppet in his place known as Prince Pahlavi.
Around 1953, Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh comes to power essentially ending the reign/dynasty of the Shahs. Mossadegh is remembered in Iran for having been voted into power through a democratic election, nationalizing Iran's British-owned oil fields, and being deposed in a military coup d'état organized by an American CIA operative and aided by the British MI6.
Iran did not forget.
Pahlavi is reinstalled back till 1979.
By this time Iranians are tired of Western imposed civilization and a man from the past Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini inspires an Islamic Revolution form exile.

12 May: Four oil tankers are damaged by explosions off the UAE coast in the Gulf of Oman. The UAE says the blasts were caused by limpet mines planted by a "state actor". The US blames Iran, but it denies the allegation.
13 June: Explosions hit two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman. The US again accuses Iran, releasing footage purportedly showing Iranian forces removing an unexploded limpet mine from a damaged vessel. Iran says the evidence is fabricated.
17 June: Iran says it will breach the limit on its stockpile of enriched uranium set under the nuclear deal on 27 June, unless Europe protects Iranian oil sales.
20 June: Iranian forces shoot down US military drone over the Strait of Hormuz.
My opinion is that US wants full control of the Middle East or full subjugation of the world, but only for Iran, North Korea an oops Libya was done in 2011.
