Concerns are mounting among employees of Quality Meat Packers Ltd (QMP) , following a series of grievances related to unexplained salary deductions and persistent delays in monthly wage disbursements.
Reports suggest that staff members have been subjected to unexpected deductions from their pay without clear explanations or accessible channels for dispute resolution. Rising discontent at Quality Meat Packers over pay delays, lack of salary transparency, and inaccessible HR complaint systems.
Sources claim that attempts to seek clarification or lodge formal complaints have been met with significant hurdles.
Employees allege that visiting the company’s offices to address pay-related concerns has become increasingly difficult due to restrictive internal procedures and what they describe as deliberate bureaucratic barriers.
In addition to the deductions, several workers report that salaries often arrive well past the expected payment dates, with some being paid as late as the 7th or 8th of each month.
This has reportedly placed many in financial distress, especially lower-wage employees who rely heavily on timely payments to meet basic needs.
These allegations have sparked growing frustration within the workforce, with calls for greater transparency and accountability from the company's management.

There is this company Quality Meat Packers (QMP) that has started deducting money from employees’ salaries, with some deductions being as high as Ksh 2,000, Ksh 3,000, or even Ksh 5,000. When one tries to go to the office to follow up or defend themselves, it becomes very difficult to get any assistance or recovery of the deducted money. Additionally, salaries are now being paid very late. Sometimes as late as the 7th or 8th of the month. Please highlight this issue because we are really suffering. Reaching the office to raise these concerns has also become extremely difficult, as they have introduced many restrictive conditions."
