People pushing for registration of a new political outfit christened Unity and Reform Party (URP) have threatened registrar of political parties Ann Nderitu. The faces have vowed to sue Nderitu over claims that she is derailing their efforts to have the proposed party registered. The registrar of political parties has defended her move to reject an application to list the new party on grounds that the name suggested is not in compliance with the political parties Act.
