Safaricom Killer Director Sylvia Mulinge was welcomed in Uganda like a slave master, bearing mirrors and sweets, in an African village in the 1900s.

The staff of MTN Uganda, where Ms Mulinge is taking over as CEO, were excited to meet her.

“Ugandans are known for their hospitality and warm welcome. Our staff members exhibited the same as we welcomed Sylvia Mulinge, the new MTN Uganda CEO”, the MTN official Twitter account posted, accompanied by the below video.

Standing on the shoulders of giants, I am ready to take up the challenge and build on my predecessors' achievements and steer MTN Uganda to greater heights through strategic partnerships and further leverage MTN as the most trusted and valued brand that it already is," Sylvia Mulinge said. Safaricom Killer director Sylvia Mulinge worked at Safaricom for 15 years; her last title was Chief Customer Officer.

Despite her success in growing the departments of enterprise and fixed data at Safaricom, she was mired by accusations of stifling innovation.

Most innovators accuse her of being behind their woes. Safaricom flouted procurement rules, took the entire proposal submitted by Transcend Media and gave it to Saracen Media Limited, a company associated with her. In 2018, Tanzania authorities denied her a permit to work in the country.

She had been appointed the CEO of Vodacom Tanzania.

“Vodacom Tanzania can confirm that it has received notice from the Labour Commissioner declining a work permit application for Sylvia Mulinge as CEO of Vodacom Tanzania,” it said in a statement.

The drunk driving case is now a cold one despite the penalty for such being spending time behind bars.

The bribe-taking Kenyan Judiciary bungled the case and the family of young Mary Etale.

In 2021, the National Assembly through a nominated MP Godfrrey Osotsi asked Kenya's outgoing Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matinag'i to respond to four questions. The ANC Party nominated MP, now Senator for Vihiga County, shot four questions at CS Matiang’i: “Mr Speaker, I wish to ask question number 74 of 2022, to be responded to by the Cabinet Secretary of interior and Coordination of National Government, and it reads Could the Cabinet Secretary explain the status of investigations into a complaint raised by Ms Transcend Media Group against Ms Safaricom Limited for theft of copyright arising out of a tender floated by Safaricom Limited in 2016 for the provision of creative and digital services launched with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) by inquiry number 14 of 2021? Could the Cabinet Secretary further explain why the DCI is unable to enforce its own summons against Safaricom Limited as contained in its letters dated 29th June 2021 and 15th July 2021? Could the Cabinet Secretary provide all the details filed with the police against Ms Safaricom Limited regarding theft of Copyrights, intellectual property rights and other complaints? What specific steps is the ministry taking to ensure large corporations in particular MS Safaricom comply with existing laws and ethical standards? Thank you, Mr Speaker,” Osotsi concluded. In the drunk driving case, the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions went mum after sharing a Tweet that Ms Mulinge was to be charged. The progress of the case is currently unknown.

Mulinge is simply a fugitive masquerading as an expatriate in Uganda.
