In 2017, Burna was heavily bashed by Kenyans on Twitter after he showed up for a show at 3 a.m. and dropped a 1 hour performance at Club Privee in Westlands which didn't go very well to those who waited for hours just to watch him perform. In a reactionary tweet made the morning after, Burna Boy described Kenyans as “peasants” who loved complaining too much. The Nigerian then went on a mega Twitter blocking spree with thousands of Kenyans finding themselves on the other side of the “wall”.
