Counties will soon be rendered unable to pay for salaries for their employees owing to a large financial deficit in the country solely blamed on corruption, an mp has claimed. Speaking in Kabarnet during the official opening of Baringo central constituency office, Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter said the country is bankrupt owing to corruption and uncontrolled borrowing by the government. He warned that if not checked the government will not have any other option other to increase borrowing to meet the balooning wage bill.
