The bright student identified as Eric Otieno Odhiambo was admitted under the county executive bursary programme which Governor Anne Kananu coordinates.
But the school now says it is yet to receive any payment since the beginning of the term, and hence, can no longer satisfactorily accommodate the student.
Since June, he has been absent from class.
When the boy's elderly guardian attempted to seek help on the matter, rude Nyayo House officials recommended she stops complaining and transfer her son to a cheaper school.
The Regional County Education Officer has refused to meet the mother. "Hi, Nyakundi, I want to bring to your attention a case at Upper Hill School of a poor and bright student, Eric Otieno Odhiambo, Admission Number 16613 who has been sent away from school since June while the Nairobi County had committed to pay his school fees for four years under Executive Bursary. The school claim that County has not paid them. I have attached the details of students and commitments from Nairobi county. Please, can you help forward this message to Prof Magoha, Principal and Gov. Kananu for assistance? Nyayo House officials have been rude.
