A former worker at Enashipai Resort & Spa in Naivasha claims he was dismissed on unfair grounds inspired by tribalism within the Kitchen department.
Writing to this blog on Monday, Tuesday, 12, the victim who preferred to keep his identity hidden says he felt deeply betrayed after toiling hard at the establishment for over 4 years only for them to terminate his contract without prior notice.
He believes the reason behind his sacking was the Luhya kitchen head, who developed a dislike for him.
The Human Resource Manager offered no explanation.
All his attempts to seek a reprieve from the establishment's owner hit a dead wall. "Hey, Cyprian. I am a huge fan of the work that you do. I am a chef by profession. I worked for a 5-star hotel in Kenya called Enashipai Resort and Spa for 4 years and 7 months, but in March; they terminated my contract with no notice. Just because of the tribalism that was going on, I could not take it. They just kicked me out, just like that. I intervened with the owner of the hotel, and nothing was done. I felt betrayed and went into depression because I did nothing wrong, but the person heading the kitchen team is a Luhya and I am a Kikuyu and don't have a godfather. HR gave no explainable reason. I did not steal or hurt anyone. Please help," the source writes.
