Najib Balala, Cabinet Secretary in charge of Tourism docket, Hi Nyakundi, Tourism Research Institute (TRI) contracted us through a briefcase company known as RICA Communication. We conducted tourism exit and entry research at various entry points within the country i.e. at airports namely JKIA and Moi International and border points. We had a contract that ran for 21 days in March and we were to be paid 1500 and 500 shillings as fares. Since completion we haven't received a penny yet. We have made various visits to the company and TRI, but our efforts have bore no fruit. This has raised eyebrows that maybe the CEO of TRI and the guy he tendered the job at RICA, known as Jeff have coluded and pocketed all what was supposed to be paid to us....
