Corrupt HF Group CEO Robert Kibaara who was previosuly sacked from National Bank.
There have been complaints about the HF Group branch manager for Embu, a Mr Collins.
When Robert Kibara was celebrating his birth day last year he pronounced he was taking HF Group to full retail banking. The news was taken well by the staff.
However, days later he announced the company had been hit by covid-19 and was operating on a massive loss hence the only way was to take drastic changes by doing away with many managerial roles which were not relevant.
Due to this some of the roles was merged and others will be done away with for some performed the same role.
Kibaara announced people above 55 years would take early retirement while others will be fired if their roles will not be supported by the new structure. That was okay until that day when the intended number of early retirement volunteers was not achieved.
Redundancy by force was initiated at this point in time.
They started calling people especially those in branches and telling them their services were no longer required.
They never followed any criteria for those they were calling, but sources confirm that those were affected were those that had differences with the branch managers.
A good example is branches in Meru, Naivasha, Komarock, River Road and some few more. Redundancy by force The month of December 2020 was a bad day for many staff of HF Group as most received letters of redundancy even though their was no show cause.
However, for a branch manager in Embu, his behavior was totally different, he had settled scores in the past over flimsy reasons.
It is said that Collins once got a lady working as a cashier fired after she refused his sexual advances.
It is in the same vein that most staff at the branches found themselves out, their names proposed for redundancy by rogue managers like Collins who had scores to settle.
