Sylvia Mulinge's Christmas Message Backfires, Kenyans Accuse Her Of Murder

Safaricom Director Sylvia Mulinge's Christmas hasn't been as joyous as she would have loved it to be.

It all started with a routine, scheduled Twitter post - those that corporate guys love so much - wishing her followers a Merry Christmas on the day Kenyans love celebrating so much.

While Mulinge expected rosy replies of fellow Kenyans wishing her a joyous festive season, she was met by a rude shock; questions on the controversial murder of an eight-year-old girl and the happenings thereafter.

You see, on the night of 1st February 2015, a drunk Sylvia Wairimu Njugua also known as Sylvia Mulinge was the driver of a Toyota Prado, KBU 483M, driving along the Southern-By-Pass in Nairobi when she negligently drove and caused it to hit eight-year-old Mary Kusa Etale who then passed on.

The said motor vehicle was registered in the name of Safaricom as at the time of the fatal accident which was reported at Langata Police Station and recorded in the occurrence book as number 3/01/02/2015.

Mulinge then compromised relevant authorities and the sad case was thrown away. The girl's family members said that the only compensation they received after the accident was just Ksh. 200,000 from Sylvia.

This case would later cause the Tanzanian government to deny Mulinge a work permit after she found a job in one of the top telecommunication companies in the country.

Inhumane would be an understatement to describe a woman who valued the life of little Mary Kusa at just a few hundred thousands.

It was this incident that irked Kenyans so much that they decided to question the Safaricom employee on Christmass day on the terrible act she committed three years ago.
