Let’s get real. Mishra is not some small-time hustler. He is a politically connected businessman who rose from a migrant doctor to a wealthy elite by allegedly exploiting the poor and vulnerable. Now, with mounting evidence against him, Duale wants to send him abroad—free to commit the same heinous crimes in another poor country.

The independent investigative committee did its job. It examined over 400 donors and recipients. It uncovered shocking irregularities at Mediheal Hospital.

The committee recommended criminal charges. But instead of arrests and prosecutions, the CS is dangling deportation. Why? Because the truth scares them. If Duale truly cared about justice, Mishra would already be behind bars. After all, what more do they need? A detailed investigative report laid bare everything. Between 2018 and early 2025, Mediheal handled 417 kidney donors and 340 recipients.

Alarmingly, many recipients were foreigners from places like Israel, Uganda, and Germany. That is textbook international trafficking. And yet, the government hesitates to prosecute.

Worse still, the report shows that some donors were illiterate, forced to sign documents in English, and never fully informed of the consequences. One donor said he received just $4,000 for a kidney—a fraction of the $200,000 recipients paid.

That is exploitation. That is illegal. That is a crime. So why not arrest Mishra? Why not shut down Mediheal and charge everyone involved? That’s why Duale is pretending to act tough while letting the real opportunity for justice slip away. Deportation allows the government to appear strong while doing nothing. It’s a public relations move, not a criminal accountability one.

Let’s not forget how long the government turned a blind eye. Local health officials raised the alarm years ago, yet nothing was done. Why? Because Mishra had powerful connections.

Now, as the walls close in, the same government that protected him wants to quietly throw him out and close the chapter.

But justice cannot be outsourced. Mishra committed crimes in Kenya. He must face the full force of Kenyan law.
