From Left to Right: Exiled Kenyan lawyer Miguna Miguna, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi Canadian-based Kenyan firebrand lawyer Miguna Miguna on Sunday treated netizens to yet another one of his dramatic outbursts as he announced the decision to cancel his much-anticipated appearance on Uhuru Kenyatta-owned K24 TV's Punchline Show, hosted by Jomo Gecaga's baby mama Anne Kiguta.
The station had previously hyped his scheduled interview and said he would appear on the political talk show to discuss various pertinent issues regarding the current deplorable state of the nation, and the way forward regarding the recent day-light raping of our constitution and total disregard of the rule of law by a few individuals who can't contain their thirst for power.
Miguna himself had also posted that he was looking forward to the interview before K24 TV suddenly announced on social media that lawyer Ndegwa Njiru, represented the County Assembly of Kirinyaga in impeachment hearings against Governor Anne Waiguru, would also be interviewed on the same show.
After smelling mischief, Miguna then chose to completely pull out of the interview, arguing that he had not been made aware of the change of plans in his conversations with Kiguta.
In his series of fiery tweets, Miguna fingered renowned political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, who recently secured a job at State House, as one of the main architects in the plot to create distractions to undermine his message on the show by introducing a fresh participant just hours to the show.
He also blamed President Uhuru Kenyata — the man he holds a grudge against for frustrating his attempts to return to Kenya despite securing several court orders compelling the government to facilitate his re-entry into the country — for playing a hand in the unprecedented change of plans in a bid to 'dilute' the important national issues he was set to discuss with Kiguta. Reacting to Miguna's attack, political strategist Mutahi Ngunyi belittled the former Senior Advisor to ex-Prime Minister Raila Odinga as a scared 'Pink Soldier' running a 'Paper Tiger' revolution. He finished off by calling Miguna an overrated drama-queen and offered to mentor the self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM-K) General. Firing back, Miguna wrote back to Mutahi and challenged him to 'come out under Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru's skirt' and face him off on the show, adding he is ready any day to expose the 'despotic refuse in his cranium'. As of the publishing of this post, Mutahi was yet to respond. On tonight's show, lawyer Ndegwa Njiru was expected to discuss the way forward for the County Assembly of Kirinyaga after Waiguru was cleared in the Senate.
The 11-member select committee led by Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala stated that it found no evidence directly linking Waiguru to corrupt activities.
MCAs have since declared that they had the option of initiating a fresh impeachment process in the County Assembly.
