Idriss Mukhtar lies in a coma at home The family of Idriss Mukhtar, the former finance county executive member of Garissa County is still crying for justice for their son, who was shot and wounded in 2018. Idriss who is now tied to an intensive care unit bed at his home has been in a coma for two and half years now. When we visited his home last month, we were welcomed by the beeping sound of a life support machine as he lay motionless on the bed with his mother sorrowfully staring at him. VIDEO The former CEC was shot on August 19th, 2018, outside a mosque in Kileleshwa after disagreeing with Garissa Governor Ali Korane. The gunman, a David Mwa, fired 3 shots at lose-range.
