Over the past week, this blog has continuously highlighted endless complaints raised against CBK Governor Patrick Njoroge, who appears to have lost the confidence of his workforce.
They purport he was complicit in the malpractices carried out by the previous regime. It is reported that in December 2021, employees were left shocked to see a group of rogue law enforcement officers earn promotions at CBK, just months after they were involved in the arrest and humiliation of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua (then Mathira MP) who was stripped naked in front of his wife and children.
The three women police constables Kimondo, Kasyoki and Kwamboka were part of the seven who arrested Gachagua last year.
In our previous post, a source disclosed that Kimondo Kasyoki and Kwamboka all dropped their pants for the promotion that was bestowed upon them by their boss, “Mr Kiplang’at”. They went for the interview as constables but were retained as Police Inspectors - a rank higher than most long-serving police officers at CBK.
Some have been attached to CBK for over 15 years.
On top of their undeserved promotion, the officers are currently on leave, alongside their five other counterparts.
This is despite the non-completion of their 6-month probation. "Hi Nyakundi. What you wrote is exactly what happened. 1. The three women, i.e. PC Kimondo, PC Kasyoki and PC Kwamboka, attended the CBK interview as police constables and the governor reserved the job for them to attend a promotion course so that they could be employed with a high grade. As if that was not enough, shamelessly, last December, the governor again promoted the three women after barely two years of service to a higher grade which many members of staff haven't attained even after working for more than 15 years. If the governor is as clean as he claims, let him tell the entire CBK staff what speciality these women have to be treated that special. 2. The seven new police officers who humiliated and embarrassed DP Gachagua have been told to go on leave. It is unheard of in CBK to go on leave until the completion of your probation of six months. Does undressing the DP make them heroes, hence getting special treatment from the governor? He should explain this," the source laments.
