LEFT: Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja RIGHT: Former county boss Mike Mbuvi Sonko Fiery former Nairobi county boss Mike Mbuvi 'Sonko' has thrown down the gauntlet, vowing to expose all the nefarious land-grabbing cartels infiltrating Governor Sakaja's administration.
In a Facebook post, Sonko disclosed his plans to unearth the misdeeds of County Executive Committee Members (CECMs), Chief Officers and former and current Members of County Assembly (MCAs) who have reportedly colluded with City Hall land cartels to snatch public properties and resell them through proxies.
Sonko further insisted that such properties belong to the people of Nairobi and must be repossessed immediately. "There are also leases of Asian widows who are being harassed. We must deal with all the grabbers ruthlessly," he wrote. Sonko's bold statement comes hot on the heels of our previous exposé about Sakaja's Chief of Staff, David Ndungu Njoroge.
According to insiders, Njoroge has joined forces with City Hall cartels to acquire land in Westlands, with the alleged help of former Chief Officer for Lands, Stephen Mwangi.
Mwangi, now CECM of Urban and Planning in Sakaja's administration, is reportedly assisting Njoroge in acquiring fake title deeds to grab the land in question and set up rental apartments.
With Sonko now promising to unleash a fresh storm of revelations, we eagerly await to be seen what new dirt will come to light.
In the meantime, Sonko has called on this blog's Chief Editor, Cyprian Nyakundi, to assist in gathering all the necessary information to bust the land-grabbing syndicate.
