Imagine you are working somewhere then you get an abrupt notice that your services are required somewhere else and that you need to resign and get to the new workstation only to be abandoned for months.

Hi Nyakundi,

My issue though is, I am one of the newly appointed officer in the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government.

We are a whole lot of 300 officers who were appointed in January 2021 for a vacancy advertised in April 2019.

We were asked to resign from our hustles forthwith as the Public Service Commission (PSC) was short of officers so as to fast-track absorption.

Our deployment would later come in May 2021, after a long hiatus a back and forth, from the department heads and the Principal Secretary (PS) failure to approve things in time. Interior Ministry Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho Suffering We were not facilitated with transport money to facilitate relocation upon deployment.

Some people got families to cater for and children to take to school. Not forgetting the medical bills, rent, food and transport to and from office. We were also not provided with airtime to conduct social inquiry, among other needs.

We are already in August 2021 and nothing seems forthcoming. No seamless communication from the department as to what is happening.

We are drained!

We have borrowed from all online financial sites and got loans from all over.

The 3 months of probation are over.

Please air this out maybe the department will act up.

We are officers from the Probation and Aftercare Services.

Be blessed abundantly.
