CAPTION: Deputy President William Ruto's Turkish associate Harun Aydin Hours after whisking Deputy President William Ruto's Turkish associate Harun Aydin out of the country, the National Police Service (NPS) has released an official inventory of all the items they seized from the controversial businessman.
In the list which emerged on Monday night, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) through the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) confiscated a total of 32 items from Harun Aydin.
They included a Turkish passport, Two phones, Three SIM cards, Thirteen handwritten notes, Payment agreements, Bank Transaction Receipts and an unnamed "liquid substance". Aydin was forcefully removed from the country following his arrest on Saturday over allegations of funding terrorism activities.
The foreigner was part of Ruto’s entourage to Uganda before the deputy president was blocked by immigration officials from flying to the neighbouring nation for a private visit over lack of clearance from President Kenyatta.
Aydin, who was allowed to travel to Uganda, was arrested and detained by anti-terror police upon his return at Wilson Airport in Nairobi on Saturday.
His lawyers led by Ahmednasir Abdullahi have vowed to challenge his deportation, saying it was done in contravention of the law.
