Executives of the China Jiangxi Corporation for International Economic and Technical Cooperation are accused of acting in contempt of court orders issued by Justice Lucy Mbugua of the Environment and Lands Court on August 2. In her ruling, Justice Mbugua instructed the Chinese firm to stop further construction of the site pending the hearing of the case lodged by members of the Karen and Lang'ata District Association.
