Thika Police Station
Between Fridays and Sundays, Thika Police Station is milking the general Public off their money in the name of making security patrols. This impunity of arresting peace loving and law abiding Kenyans from 10:00 pm every weekend is wanting and unwarranted. Any person is arrested for no apparent reason but on allegations of loitering or perhaps doing business. Any citizen who is arrested, is forced to either buy his or her freedom with between 1K to 3K ama unawekwa ndani. Women are seriously assaulted and this happens immediately their phones are confiscated.
This is a serious cartel minting thousands of cash over the weekends from naive Kenyans who fear being booked over fabricated accusations.
I wish to bring this matter to the attention of Hon. Wainaina wa Jungle, Hon Ferdinand
Waititu, OCS-Thika, OCPD-Thika and DCIO-Thika though I have reservations with the last three officers.
Kenya is a free country with freedom of movement. Note,that people are arrested over the weekend on account that there is no court in operation and hence this maximizes the money minting schemes.
I was apprehended on Saturday night around 10pm while going home near. Family Bank. This is my second time.
Let leaders take action and officers in charge execute their moral mandate without extorting money from the public or otherwise arrest people and take them to court.
Thika Police Station should be investigated. IPOA, Inspector General of Police, Kenya Anti corruption, County Government and the County commandant should swiftly act or otherwise, people themselves will protest against the public harassment and unwarranted extortions and arrests happening in Thika town.
Thika Police Station:You should or must understand that;
~ Kenya is a Free Country. ~ You are taking advantage of the law. ~ You are taking bribes from Kenyans. ~ You have no moral or legal right to harass Kenyans. ~ You must respect Women. ~ You must respect law. ~ Kenya and Thika in particular is evolving into a 24 hour economy. ~ Thika Senior officers are not diligently doing their work.
