Raila's Runoff Formula that is giving Uhuru Sleepless Nights

With only 19 months left to the August 8 2017 general election, panic has gripped State House after word leaked out to the effect that Uhuru Kenyatta is contemplating overhauling his team in a bid to get rid of deadwoods as well as ensure his new team drives his agenda for re-election come the ballot date. The president, according to sources, is also said to be mulling over phasing out former president Mwai Kibaki’s and former prime minister Raila Odinga’s key cogs in the mainstream civil service, some of whom are being blamed for the leaking of sensitive government documents to the opposition and the media, mostly touching on corruption that has of late caused an uproar in government. Uhuru is worried that Raila and other opposition leaders are scheming for a presidential run-off that will see him kiss bye to State House. To complicate matters, is the fact that Jubilee allied parties are not keen to dissolve their parties into one political unit. Uhuru wants to dismantle his media team as well as streamline his public communication office to ensure it does not sound so obvious that it is a government propaganda office while selling his 2017 re-election agenda. One key player in his re-election team is Nancy Gitau, his political adviser. She is said to have recently called former cabinet minister Soita Shitanda asking him to back Musalia Mudavadi who is running on Amani National Congress ticket for the presidency come 2017. Mudavadi is battling it out with Cyrus Jirongo over the control of the populous Luhya vote.
