Twitter consists of amorphous set-ups of individuals and cliques, some who tweet almost every second of a working day, giving the impression that they tweet for a living.
#KOT consists of strategic fellows, planted with the sole intention of altering discourse meant to trigger citizenry-reaction or state response. These are moles who purport to be "with the people" but are there earning their pay, purporting to be experts on a wide array of issues.
Many who pretend to be of "higher" intellect form cliques purporting to have discourse amongst themselves, brainstorm over an issue, provide "solutions" and since they know they have an audience that includes journalists and influencers, are able to mitigate any storm that could arise.
Out of all Statehouse moles on Twitter, none has developed an insane fascination with Ezekiel Mutua like @ColdTusker. I have been following complaints by some tweeps about this psychological-dichotomy, where on one hand Mutua makes a ridiculous statement largely ignored by the establishment, but @ColdTusker vigorously "complains" thus giving a hitherto irrelevant character airtime.
The truth is Kenyans, like his nemesis Dr. Alfred Mutua, Ezekiel Mutua is aspiring for a Governor's seat in Ukambani. He knows that constant national limelight boosts his position and standing that emanates from the free publicity. And it all makes sense; bribe a few journalists and editors to air your inconsequential pressers and plant a few Twitter goons to "react" to your somewhat ridiculous decree's.
@ColdTusker's monologues against Ezekiel Mutua which can sometimes last for over an hour, are promoted tweets disguised as rants, to give him relevance and raise his profile. Technically nobody should be taking Mutua seriously but because of such generic campaigns with Twitter convergence, a non-entity like Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) is now on everyone's lips, with the sole intention of launching Mutua's bid for Governor next year.
This disgusting habit by "influencers" who assume that their side-gigs can't be detected by the naked eye has been going on for years now, a reason why we have previously named and shamed those who misuse their positions of trust, to promote shadowy characters and agendas.
All the noise Ezekiel Mutua is making, all the journalists and editors he bribes for favourable prime-time coverage and all the emanating "rants" against his decrees are all geared for his campaign to be a Governor in 2017. Everything is as generic as anti-biotics sold in Nairobi chemists.
In these streets, people do anything to survive. Poor @ColdTusker. What a waste of brains and potential.
