What was meant to be a party of a lifetime has been cancelled after threats to storm it by idle Police officers, who instead of chasing terrorists and criminals are busy interfering with lives of peace-loving Kenyans.
The same over-bearing police officers are also infringing on the rights of Kenyans, and freedoms of association by mouting Alcoblow roadblocks, meant purely to extort and not mitigate accidents caused by drunk-driving. They are the same policemen who arrest and confiscate devices used by bloggers. The Project-X concept's brilliant execution strategy and impeccable photography may have also irritated the mediocre marketers working in so-called top advertising agencies, who would take a lifetime to develop such a flawless marketing concept. It's success would have exposed incompetence of the shameless self-promoters, purporting to work in media and marketing, who develop some of the most mediocre adverts like the current campaign of UNAITAS.
Parties of this magnitude are held all over Nairobi every day, with various houses holding stag-nights and cocaine hook-ups, and we wonder why the jealous journalists had to frame Project-X as a negative concept. Take note Kenyans how to build hype and audiences. The marketers behind Project-X are perfectionists. Anyone out there should be rushing to engage them for their services

To all our loyal party rockers, we would like to inform you to peacefully understand us on this cancellation step of this event due to the command from the lawful order received.
Its very saddening that the media has portrayed the event "Project X" in a manner that is wanting, branding the event as a sex party through the basis of one sentence "No one goes back home a virgin" clearly shows how some media houses can be narrow minded and try to make a story in order to make an extra buck even when all details portray the event where young adults can meet up, socialise and have a good time.
The photos and captions used were for promotional use only, we fail to understand how we would would widely market an event for guys to come and have and have sex. It's completely against the values we believe in.
To everyone whose photo was aired on TV we apologize for any inconveniencies caused, your photos were taken directly from your accounts without your consent or even our knowledge.
To Bonk limited and it's management we regret and apologise for inconveniences caused by the event as you played no part in this.
To the ticket holders we got you covered, in the case of a refund we will announce prior to the date.
To the parents, we are deeply sorry that you had to view event as an immoral and unethical abuse of our freedom to have fun, the event is based on guys socialising, having fun and new exposure to different people. We put up the charges at Ksh 500 so as to allow everyone from every background to have fun. To the parents that called and clarified about the event, we appreciate as opposed to one that circulated false ads concerning the event on "hear say" knowledge without even checking the event page for details.
We have had no complaints concerning the event from anyone till recently,clearly showing that there are other third parties spreading false informatio as a way of stopping the event from happening, we feel sympathy for you that one may go through all that trouble but for their selfish game.
We urge everyone to remain calm and wait for more info in the coming week. To the media houses we are deeply disappointed that you would air the event with false information without digging deeper to get the details about it.
