This information comes from a resident of Kisasi sub location, Shamakhokho Location, Hamisi sub-county in Vihiga County.
The residents who reside in this area have nowhere to report their sufferings in the hands of local administrators and the security organs of this area.
The location and the said sub location are the headquarters of changaa, marijuana (bangi), thugs, muggers, buglers, rapists and bandits. All the bad things such as stealing crops from the farms happen here.
These things happen with the full knowledge of the security organs i.e. the area chief, his assistant and the police.
The place that is notorious with smoking bhang is at Kisasi sub location at Wasenje Village and the owner of the business of the Kisasi is Assistant Chief by the name Magtilda Lukose.
All the cash collected from the proceeds of selling bhang are taken to her house and she supplies her sellers with fresh bhang. Bribing for protection Illicit brews (Changaa) dealers in this area give the police, chief, and sub chief cash every morning. Even the police land cruiser goes round collecting their daily shares.
It seems like the residents can do nothing to stop these.
If you report an incident to the Chief, Sub chief or police, they tell you to go and solve it by yourself.
We would like the interior ministry to take action by replacing all the police officers at Serem police station and the Administration Police officers at Shamakhokho. The Chief and his assistant should also be sacked immediately, or else punda imechoka , we’ll take the law into our own hands.
