Nandi Hills Member of Parliament (MP) Alfred Keter has once again reignited his war of words with the Deputy President (DP) William Ruto, accusing him of insincerity on a number of issues affecting the country.
The legislator was responding to DP Ruto's claim that 'no lives has been lost' and that the 'situation is under control' in the current drought ravaging parts of the country.
“I want to categorically state that the situation is better than last year and year before. We are in a better place in terms of vegetation, livestock and food prices', Ruto Said.

The duo have over the past criticized the deputy president and his allies for corruption and mismanagement and called on them to dissociate their woes from the Kalenjin community.
Three weeks ago the two dismissed claims by a section of Rift Valley leaders, allied to DP Ruto, that the region is being targeted in war on corruption. “There is no one who has been mentioned in the latest scandal, so I do not understand why people are going around saying a tribe is being targeted, which tribe involves itself in corruption? Which tribe is the DPP and the DCI investigating ? Don’t they investigate individuals who are in offices looting public funds?” Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny posed. Keter on his part had said, “We have heard so many people trying to say that some communities are being targeted or this issue of corruption is about 2022; I want to say that there is no community which is being targeted by anyone; neither is this fight about the politics of the 2022. The question we should be asking ourselves is ; what are we doing about the resources which are lost through corruption?”
