AKoin cryptocurrency The futuristic city will exclusively trade in digital cash dubbed AKoin, which Akon arguing that the technology can help Africans to become less-dependent on their governments. Solar Power In 2015, the singer announced venturing into solar power with the aim of providing electricity for 600 million Africans through the Akon Lighting Africa initiative. According to reports, Akon Lighting Africa has thus far installed solar systems in 14 African countries.
