This week’s mails leak from surveillance software vendor Hacking Team provided new details on the burgeoning growth of a private surveillance industry which has spread globally without any meaningful oversight and with Impunity. While revealing many new and concerning aspects of Hacking Team’s activities, it also confirmed a number of theories many Kenyans have been denying. I was actually arguing with a friend about surveillance and he told me that he doesnt believe the NIS can do that . The cold fact is that knowledge about private information may be abused by Government leading to many Problems. Surveillance, Scanning emails and tapping Citizens calls is a violation to anybody's privacy. By the way I never thought Kenya is hacking team...
