Narratives are being shoved down our throats and FKF President Nick Mwendwa has now shifted his priorities all the way to qualifying for the 2022 WorldCup, in a bid to buy himself some extra time in office and create the illusion of some long-term strategy in his work-plan.
But tell me this, if indeed Kenya had a shot at qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations 2017 in Gabon, either by luck of God's grace, why shouldn't that chance be taken? Who is this feeding us with delusions of grandeur and messing around with our hopes and dreams as if he's God?
The question is, why did Nick Mwendwa use experimental players for an important qualifier-match at the expense of our chances? Arent there many opportunities to field inexperience players in junior teams? Isn't it the reason why teams organise international friendlies so as to try out such experiments?
The truth is Kenya had a realistic shot at qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations 2017. The truth is that Guinea Bissau is ranked at Position 147 in the global FIFA Rankings while Kenya is 44 positions above the small country at 103.
The truth is that Kenya would have beaten Guinea Bissau both home and away. The truth is that Nick Mwendwa named a mediocre coach Stanley Okumbi, who has never won any accolades in Kenya. The truth is Nick Mwendwa attended all training sessions in-order to influence his weak appointee and alter the playing unit.
The truth is Harambee Stars preparations were shambolic despite support from the Kenya Premier League (KPL) who stopped their matches a weekend prior to facilitate and enable Harambee Stars prepare without disruption. KPL were patriotic and Nick Mwendwa simply made a mockery of the kind gesture by Kenya's top clubs.
The truth is that Nick Mwendwa has been spending more time using his position to meet corporate CEO's like Bob Collymore and others, because he's deluded to imagine that corporates sponsoring the National Team is a quick-fix panacea that will result into goals. The truth is that Nick Mwendwa has been spending a lot of time doing interviews at Radio Jambo with his sycophants Fred Arocho and Carol Radull.
The truth is that Nick Mwendwa cannot define himself as either an FA President or Jaro Soja as he is always taking selfies with players, being all over the place even when it's not necessary.
The truth is that Kenya had a chance to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, but we blew that opportunity because Nick Mwendwa is pretending to be the alpha and omega of strategies, trying to reinvent the wheel.
The truth is that upon assuming office, the Nick Mwendwa's so-called "Team Change" embarked on enriching themselves with Nick Mwendwa meeting Bob Collymore to pitch for his Riverbank IT Solutions business. The truth is that FKF CEO Robert Muthomi signed a sponsorship deal with Sport Pesa for his club Nakuru All Stars, money that was meant to sponsor the Nairobi League. The truth is that the same Robert Muthomi is an agent of the company that supplies kits to the National Team Harambee Stars.
The truth is that Nick Mwendwa sent journalists from his website Soka.co.ke to Guinea Bissau and gives them undue advantage over other media colleagues in dispatching exclusive news, in a bid to use his position to grow the viewership of his website.
Don't listen to media who may have succumbed to the bribery machinery of the FKF. We lost due to negligence and interference by Nick Mwendwa. These are young crooks who don't believe in first building the game and benefitting from it. They simply believe that former FKF President Sam Nyamweya had blocked them, and now it is their turn to eat.
We are warning bribed journalists not to twist the narrative. Kenya had a clear shot at qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations 2017. Mwendwa costed us.
