Hours after lawyer Miguna was removed from a second flight, high court Judge Weldon Korir has reiterated that the orders issued on his return remain in force. The Judge has given the State until tomorrow to file responses in the case.
On 7th January 2019, Miguna arrived in Germany and was to travel to Kenya using Lufthansa but a few hours to the plane’s departure, a red alert was issued by the Kenyan authorities and he was left in Germany.

At around 9 pm yesterday, Miguna had secured another flight, a Air France flight AF0814 to Nairobi at the Charles De Gaulle Airport, he even boarded it, took a picture and sat on his seat 22A ready for the flight home.
However, a few minutes before takeoff, he was declared alien by Kenyan authorities and removed from the aircraft.
Miguna is still stuck in Europe and as the judges issue the 15th order to have the Kenyan authorities return Miguna because he is’ a rightful citizen’ of Kenya, it remains to be seen what the government will do.
The government has not honored any order since March 2018.
The lawyer filed another application to compel the state to allow his return to Kenya. Justice Weldon Korir has set the hearing for Friday.
