The refund is often supposed to be paid within 60 days after someone pulls out of the Sacco. However, nearly a year later, this client has not received the full amount. This has caused untold suffering to him and his family. Below is his story. Dear Cyprian, I have been a member of NHIF SACCO for several years. Last year, in May 2018, I resigned from the Sacco and after the mandatory 60 days I expected to receive my shares refund. After so much pull and push, and begging I was refunded Kshs. 50,000. This year I sought the help of the Commissioner of Cooperatives, Mrs. Mary Mungai , they paid me...
