House of corruption
The embattled National Hospital Insurance Fund Chair Hannah Mureithi received a Ksh. 40 Million bribe in a Ksh. 500 Million scandalous deal that she fronted MMC Africa for. The other NHIF board members shared Ksh. 60 Million.
As revealed in our previous article, MMC Africa has been linked to syphoning off millions from NHIF as authorities watch and do nothing. Mureithi has ties to the scandal-ridden law firm and she brought it to NHIF the minute she was appointed. It is suspected that she was a partner to the law firm but exonerated herself before she pushed for the firm to be given a mega deal.
The chair Hannah Mureithi was appointed and just after pushed the board to instruct management to bring in the law firm which was single-sourced.
For such an amount of close to 1/2 a billion, it should have been an open tender advertised in the newspaper…it was not. the chair instructed management to add a few law firms to be pre-qualified in the pre-qualified list that already existed without following due process of going to the newspaper.
The law firms added backdoor tendered and MMC got the job. The board thus instructed management to instruct MMC Africa to draft contracts between NHIF and Hospitals.
Further reports indiccate that Hannah Muriithi is too corrupt and that she personally calls hospitals asking for bribes. The narrative that they were fighting corruption at NHIF was a mere Joke. How did the corrupt board survive? Queen Of Graft
Kenyans on social media have been demanding for the disbandment of the National Hospital Insurance fund BOARD for failing to protect the interests of Kenyans as spelt out in the NHIF Act.
The board, comprised of sleeping individuals watched as the former CEO Geoffrey Mwangi looted with some board members being partners in crime, a source from within the NHIF confirmed to us. Despite earning millions per month, the board has failed in its core mandate and a purge would be necessary.

Many Kenyans have been lamenting that the board has watched, without doing anything as graft took over the fund. NHIF, Has been a cash-cow for a few individuals and the bosses at the helm have made it their habit to dance on poor Kenyans graves, as corruption becomes cancer in this country.
According to our sources, top NHIF bosses and board members led by Hannah Muriithi have formed shell companies that they are using to award themselves tenders and loot it to the ground despite president Uhuru Kenyatta, the state-house joker claiming that universal health-care is one of his big four agenda.
