NEW PARKING FEES SUSPENDED

[ad_1] High Court has temporarily halted an order to increase parking fees in Nairobi. The suspension follows a case filed by the Consumer Federation of Kenya (Cofek), accusing city hall of issuing a short notice. Following the suspension of the order, Nairobi motorists will pay the KSh 200 fee as they wait for a hearing on the case. High Court Justice James Makau notes that Cofek made a reasonable case since citizens will suffer from the increased fees. Therefore, the judge suspended the order, setting January 21 2020 as the date for its new hearing.
