A UN Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) will provide logistical help, including medical care, transportation, food, troop rotation, and communications. This ensures that Kenyan officers will now have broader operational cover, something that was missing in the current MSS mission. The MSS mission had been criticised for poor resourcing, insufficient personnel, and limited capacity. President William Ruto openly voiced his frustration at the UN General Assembly, saying Kenya could not sustain the mission without predictable funding. With the new arrangement, Kenyan officers can expect better equipment, coordinated planning, and more reliable funding streams.
