[ad_1] The government has announced Total Kenya’s Director of Strategy Dr Macharia Irungu as the managing director of the Kenya Pipeline Corporation (KPC). Irungu, 53, is also a Commissioner at the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), where he has been fighting litigation for being and industry player, and at the same time a regulator. He is set to replace Hudson Andambi who has been acting MD since December 2018, following the unceremonious exit of Joel Sang over graft allegations. Irungu beat 88 applicants who were eyeing the position, of which nine were shortlisted. The names of the three candidates who scored highest were thereafter forwarded to to the Cabinet Secretary for Petroleum Cabinet Secretary John Munyes. Read: Jumia...
