Apart from conning women in a Sacco where she is alleged to have looted over Ksh22 million aided by her criminal associates, the first lady has managed to bend the rules further and has employed her relatives all over the place.
Lydia has managed to employ her relatives, put some on payroll as Ghost workers, most of whom sit at home to enjoy Netflix waiting for end month to get paid. Lydia Khaemba, wife to the governor. She has used her position to enrich herself

Anna Chelagat Serenoi, Lydia's sister ID number (withheld) is a ghost worker employed as clerical officer by the county government.
Obadiah Kipkosegei, Lydia's cousin ID number (withheld), employed as support staff is a ghost worker.
Dismas kipkemei ID No (withheld) employed as a driver, ghost worker.
The above are just bit a few, there are many others.
Lydia also uses companies to swindle the county, she twists the procurement rules to her favor. Some of the companies are registered using the names of Lydia’s family members.
For example, Brinadel Company - Kimaru Mutai who is employed as driver, owns the company and is a powerful contractor in the county government of Trans Nzoia
Sokoro Company- is owned by Lydia Khaemba
Bemusa – a company owned by Brother to Carol Wanjala who is Lydia's advisor.
Minto Seroney - Father to Lydia.
These companies are among the ones which signed a deal with Lydia and they got paid even when they supplied nothing.
Lydia manipulates the Public Service revenue collection systems where she has a say on how Jambopay of Dan Muchemi in Trans Nzoia branch operates.
Her wicked-ways have been esposed by Trans Nzoia based bloggers, whom she has threatened to sue. The blogers are dared her to sue them.
‘It's the time for her to stop playing proxies. And if she feels that we are lying, she can sue us, or report us to the next police station. We are ready to appear in court and justify our claims’, said one of the bloggers.
Early this year, bodaboda riders staged a protest, resisting Governor Khaemba's decision to auction the much hyped Kitale bus terminus to a section of private investors. The protestors that day blocked the Governor from leaving Aturkan Hotel where he was hosting the so said private investors. These opressed lot of riders pay Ksh3000 to the county government The DCI and DPP are urged to start investigations of impropriety in Trans Nzoia County led by the first lady. There's massive corruption in the county, in August, a section of leaders from Trans Nzoia County called on the DCI to arrest and charge Governor Patrick Khaemba over massive corruption in the County government.
