Posted by a Facebook User: Justice Deyugs Fundraiser for Olare Secondary School is said to have raised Kshs. 11 million THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OLARE SECONDARY SCHOOL DORMITORY NEGLIGENCE SHOULD BE HELD CULPABLE 1.Why was proxy tender allowed to be used in the construction of that pathetic structure? The contractor awarded the tender is different from the person carrying out construction through proxy tendering! Why did they use the documents of another contractor?
2.The Management claim that the structure has already consumed 3million up to its current stage but they want to demolish it at anytime from now.Will that cash go that way just because of a negligence?The culprits must refund the 3million wasted on the structure due to their incompetence!
3.Why did the BOM allow for the construction of that pathetic structure despite visiting the site regularly and bagging sitting and visiting allowances? They (Chair and Vice)are both qualified Engineers approved by Engineering board of Kenya! Why did they allow for the construction of a structure whose Plan was not approved by relevant Construction Authority?
4.Who will continue with construction after you have demolished that structure in the Name of a dormitory? Will it be the contractor who did the construction through proxy tendering or the real contractor from Kisumu county whose documents have been used!
5.Why did the three signatories 1.BoM Chair(Eng.Dan Waziri) 2.BoM Vice Chair(Eng.Dan Ogenga) 3.BoM Secretary (School principle) Both constantly authorized aloof transactions to fund the construction of that pathetic structure despite visiting the site and seeing that gorge in the name of a dormitory.
6.Why were the Harambee organizing committee (BoM included) mobilized Kochia Community to support Olare Secondary School through a Fund drive the achieved 11Million.But they are not willing to address the community in regards to that pognus structure referred by them as dormitory? Was the role of the stakeholders to contribute and forget or Contribute and monitor!
7.Most stakeholders from the constituency who have been seen in the community t Fostering development in Kochia very silent on this matter and some have openly defended the BoM who have failed the community just because They have personal ties!! You cannot say that you support Community development but you practice nepotism and blackmail .Truth must be said and I challenge Constituency Leadership, "Kochia Professionals group" and "Friends of Education" to stop seeing the impunity at Olare and remain silent if indeed they have development consciousness and goodwill for Kochia Community!
As I conclude truth must be said to save Olare Secondary school that has been an example of old but poor schools in the current society! The community participated and other stakeholders contributed with a hope to see Olare upgraded from the current state that is largely referred to as "Olare Mortuary" to a modern state that would change the face of the school!
