I am one of your followers and I have been following you on all platforms and would like to congratulate you on the good work that you are doing for this nation and for us.
Now I have an issue that might interest you about a money lending app called Okash by Opera. I always test applications when they come to our market so that I am able to decide which money app would be appropriate for me to use.
So I registered on this app and went through a very bad registration process where they require you to upload a selfie. After registration, I borrowed Kshs 2000 on the app and it was due in two weeks.
They kept sending me messages to remind me and called me a day before the due date. I was not going to pay on time anyway because it was a test. They applied a rollover fee on a daily basis on the app and kept calling. every day since the 9th of this month when the loan was due.
Today, they send messages to everyone on my call log informing them to tell me that I need to pay their loan. Can you imagine the violation of privacy that the app is doing?
The app requests you for a referee when registering and they have my referee. I think its a bad violation of anyone's privacy for such a thing to be done to them.
Please warn Kenyans about that app and tell me of any legal means that I can take if any. Hide my identity but I have the messages that my friends have forwarded to me if you need them.
