The award is meant to recognize legislators working hard in parliament and effectively representing the common Kenyan as well as commissioning meaningful development projects in their areas.

As soon as Mohammed sent the post, Kenyans in the comments section almost skinned him alive with the majority accusing him of being a traitor and putting his selfish needs ahead of his people. The former celebrated investigative journalist has been struggling to impress the public lately and even went ahead and released an "expose" which Kenyans quickly dismissed as simply hot air.
His close relationship to arguably the most disliked man in Kenya is something that has attracted a lot of criticism.
